YAO Chapters

Young Ambassadors for Opportunity (YAO) inspires, educates and involves through eight volunteer-led, regionally based chapters. It is through these chapters’ active and involved members that YAO can effectively support the work of Opportunity International. The ten current YAO chapters are in:

Chapters continue to launch across the U.S. Worldwide, YAO is expanding its global network as Opportunity International partners in Canada and the United Kingdom are developing their YAO programs.

YAO chapters build awareness about the microfinance community and raise funds for Opportunity by:

  • Working together to grow membership and involvement
  • Educating their community on poverty and microfinance
  • Hosting social and fundraising events to raise support and awareness for the YAO initiative in Tanzania
