Young Ambassadors for Opportunity (YAO) is a network of passionate, globally-minded young professionals who are dedicated to providing economic opportunities for people living in chronic poverty. Through volunteer-led, regionally based chapters, YAO is raising awareness and funds to build a full-service bank for people living in poverty in Tanzania.

Young Ambassadors:

  • Inspire by moving from being an observer of global poverty to a key player in its eradication.
  • Educate and develop leadership skills along with a knowledge of international economic development, global banking and innovative microfinance initiatives.
  • Involve themselves in an international community of socially engaged young professionals.

As a Young Ambassador, we encourage you to:

  • Fundraise for YAO’s bank building initiative in Tanzania
  • Invest your skills and passion in your local YAO chapter to make a lasting impact on global poverty
  • Learn more about Opportunity’s work on Opportunity’s blog, at chapter events, and via social media tools like Facebook and Twitter
