On Saturday, May 21, nearly 250 people gathered for YAO-ZA!, the launch of the newest chapter of Young Ambassadors for Opportunity (YAO). Passionate, socially-minded young professionals and entrepreneurs celebrated at Denver’s Colorado Arts Center with dinner, live music, an art show, a silent auction, and to learn about microfinance and YAO’s support of bank-building in Tanzania.
Highlights of the night:
- Live music from Mile Markers, Dream Shakes, and MC Subcon & DJ C-NICE
- A presentation by international visitor Daniel Ryumugabe, the Transformational Impact Manager from Opportunity Rwanda in Kigali
- A sale of crafts from Trading for Treasures, made by Opportunity’s Rwandan women clients
- An art show featuring local artists, including photographer Sam Scrofani
