On Feb. 18, 2011, a group of young professionals will embark on a weekend-long trip to Jump for Opportunity in Orlando, Fla. They’ll jump out of a plane at 18,000 feet, raising awareness and funds for Opportunity’s microfinance work in Tanzania.
There’s still time for you to be a part of it. The last day to register to Jump is next Tuesday, Jan. 11th!
Plus, Jumpers can get there early for the Future of Entrepreneurship Education Summit on Friday, Feb. 18th at the University of Central Florida, organized by young entrepreneur Michael Simmons, and featuring Opportunity CEO Bill Morgenstern, business leaders and young entrepreneurs from across the country. For more info, you can check out Michael’s news post on the Jump for Opportunity site.
Then Jump with Michael, Bill and young professionals willing to take a risk and have fun while fighting global poverty, helping to empower Tanzanian clients to make a better life for their families.

- I am jumping because I want others to have the JOY that I have been blessed with! -Ashley Duff
Jumping from 18,000 feet is scary, but not as scary as living in chronic poverty.
- One of the things I have learned through education and entrepreneurship is that literally anything is possible… I see jumping from 18,000 feet as a metaphor for us all to break through from our fears and take steadfast action in alignment with what we really want, and to make it happen. -Doug Fath
- I am jumping for [people I met while in Africa] who have incredible ideas and the passion to pursue their goals in life and to change the future of Africa. All they need is a little help gaining access to the same resources that I take for granted every day. -Sarah Green
